Hebrew Months
Did you know that Yehovah has His own calendar? When we get on His calendar, we get on His schedule. We are then acquainted with, and can celebrate His Sabbaths, and His Feasts, and it deepens our relationship with Him. In His calendar, there are two different countings. The counting of years, (Genesis 1:14) – the civil calendar – begins on Tishrei 1 (Sept/Oct). The counting of months, (Exodus 12) – the spiritual calendar – begins on Nissan 1 (Mar/Apr). We are now watchman on the wall watching for the prophetic significance in each month, and for a future fulfillment in our Messiah’s second coming.
